Our mission with LYNX is to assist in the discovery of new scientific formulas. LYNX will facilitate the discovery of connections within your input data that aren’t immediately apparent. Unlike “Black Box” neural networks, the symbolic regression approach of LYNX creates an algorithm that accurately describes the relationship between your input variables and output variables. Our aim is for LYNX to be used with experimental data, where physical attributes and measurements can be recorded, but where the algorithmic description of the setup is unknown.
About the software:
LYNX is a one-time fee desktop software program that will run in perpetuity on most desktop computers. Upon purchase, you will be provided a .exe file that is able to be installed on your desktop or laptop computer. The generational processing is done by your CPU, so the faster your machine is, the faster LYNX will be. Over time, we will introduce support for multi-threading, which will make it even faster. The success or failure of your analysis rests on a degree of randomness, so the results from multiple systems using the same input data will vary.
